The Bellevue Resort has become one of our favorite go-to recommendations for a proper luxury staycation in Bohol, and after another stay here, it’s easy to see why.
Situated in Doljo, Panglao, the resort sits right on a stretch of white sand beach, just a short drive from the airport and Panglao’s main strip — close enough to be convenient, far enough to feel like a real escape.
It’s currently rated 4.6 out of 5 on TripAdvisor and sits at #3 of 98 hotels in Panglao Island, and after spending a few more days here, that ranking checks out — the rooms are spacious, the staff are genuinely warm, and the grounds are kept immaculately.

1. A Warm Welcome in Doljo, Panglao
From the moment you arrive, it’s clear the Bellevue takes hospitality seriously. Check-in is quick, the welcome is warm without being stiff, and the staff have a habit of remembering small details about your stay by the second day.
The resort is also an ASEAN Green Hotel awardee, and it shows in small, deliberate ways — recycled newspaper lines the trash bins instead of plastic, and the resort has been working toward powering more of its operations through solar energy.
2. Spacious Rooms With Real Ocean Views
The resort offers five room categories, from the Superior Twin Room up through the two-bedroom Bellevue Suite, with current rates starting at around ₱6,400 a night for the entry-level rooms and climbing from there by category and season. It’s worth checking directly with the resort for current rates and promos, since these shift throughout the year.
We stayed in the biggest room in the entire resort, and it was every bit as impressive as it sounds.
PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
The Presidential Suite is a two-bedroom suite — one room with two queen beds, the other with a king — with everything you’d need for a proper family stay.
It has a proper living area, a kitchenette and dining space, a bathroom with a soaking tub, and a balcony with an outdoor jacuzzi and ocean view. You can take in the garden, the pool, and the beach without ever leaving your suite.
3. More Dining Venues Than You Can Fit Into One Stay
The resort has an impressive spread of dining venues — enough that you could stay a week and still not repeat a spot.
Marea Al Fresco Restaurant
Marea is the resort’s signature restaurant, and probably the one you’ve seen in every photo — it overlooks the rooms, pool, and beach all from one seating. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s an easy place to linger.
Cena View Deck
Above Marea is the Cena View Deck, with an even better view of the beachfront. We had breakfast up there on our first morning, and it was worth the early wake-up.
Lamian World Cuisine
Lamian serves a mix of Filipino and international dishes — sandwiches, pizzas, and a few standout UBE (Ultimate Bellevue Experience) specialties — and you can eat indoors or al fresco by the pool.
Beach Bonfire Dining
Every Friday, the resort hosts a bonfire dinner right on the beach — low seating in the sand, good food, and live music under the stars. It’s one of those small touches that makes a stay memorable.
Garden Dining
The resort’s central garden doubles as an event space and a dining spot — we had breakfast buffet there one morning and it felt like its own occasion.
Floating Lounge
First of its kind in Bohol, the floating lounge is worth booking for at least one dinner during your stay — a private table on the water, your own server, and live music if you time it right.
Luxury View Deck
The resort’s luxury view deck is set up for smaller, more intimate dinners — a good pick if you’re celebrating something or just want a quieter sunset.
Room Balcony
And if you’d rather not leave your room at all, every suite has its own balcony with a view worth eating in front of.
4. Full Days of Activities, On Land and In the Water
Between the beach, the pool, and the grounds, there’s enough here to fill several full days without ever leaving the property.
Mangrove Kayaking
One of our favorite activities was mangrove kayaking through the Doljo Mangrove Rainforest right next to the resort — a quiet, scenic paddle through a part of Panglao most visitors never see.
The resort also runs regular mangrove planting and clean-up days, a nice reminder that the eco-friendly angle isn’t just for show.
Paddle Boarding and Water Pedal Bikes
If kayaking isn’t your thing, there’s also paddleboarding and water pedal bikes right off the beach — an easy, fun way to get some exercise in.
Yoga
We also joined a sunset yoga session in the resort’s garden, which turned out to be one of the more peaceful parts of the whole trip.
Freediving or Snorkeling
Bohol is the freediving capital of the Philippines, and staying here puts you right next to some genuinely good underwater scenery — whether you’re an experienced diver or trying it for the first time.
Outdoor Team Building Activities
It’s easy to see why the resort is a go-to choice for national and local events — the grounds are built for groups.
There’s archery, giant Jenga, and plenty of beachfront space for group games if you’re traveling with a bigger crowd.
5. A Proper Spa Day
One of the best Swedish massages we’ve had anywhere in Bohol was at the Bellevue spa — it’s consistently their most-requested treatment, and it’s easy to understand why.
The massage room has a genuinely relaxing, therapeutic feel to it, and you can smell the peppermint before you even reach the spa downstairs.
6. Thoughtful Touches Throughout the Resort
What stands out most on a repeat visit is how consistently well-kept everything is — the grounds, the pool areas, and the rooms all still feel as sharp as they did on our first stay.
There’s a dedicated kids’ playroom, a luxury view deck for stargazing at night, and an infinity pool that looks straight out over the beach and ocean — plenty to keep families, couples, and groups busy.

How to Get to Panglao, Bohol
Most visitors fly into Bohol-Panglao International Airport, which sits right on Panglao Island itself, so you’re only a short drive from Doljo and the resort — usually 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. If you’re coming from Cebu, the OceanJet ferry into Tagbilaran is another common route, followed by a roughly 30-45 minute drive or transfer across the bridge to Panglao. The resort can also help arrange airport transfers if you’d rather not sort out a ride yourself.
Best Time to Visit Panglao, Bohol
Bohol’s dry season, roughly November through May, is the most reliable stretch for beach weather and calm water for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. It’s also the busiest and priciest window, especially around the holidays and Holy Week, so book your room well ahead if you’re traveling then. The wetter months from June to October see fewer crowds and better rates, though you’ll want to build in some flexibility for the odd rainy day.

It’s not the cheapest option in Panglao, and it doesn’t try to be.
What you’re paying for is genuinely spacious rooms, a dining lineup deep enough to keep things interesting for days, and a beachfront setting that still feels a little quieter than the busier stretches of Panglao.
