We had the privilege to stay in the resort for 3 days and here are the things we experienced in the first ever internationally-branded resort in Bohol.

1. Fast Check-In Process

Prior to arrival, the resort already sent us a pre-check in QR codes where we filled in the necessary information. This is in compliance to Best Western We Care Program where they intensify the health and well-being standards under the new normal. It was indeed very convenient as we didn’t have to do the usual check in when we arrived anymore. Instead, we were guided to their Alon Bar Lounge right away to wait for our room to be ready.

2. Cozy Lounge For Welcome Drinks

Welcome drinks? The Ivywall Resort takes it to the next level! Upon arrival, we were directed to the Alon Bar Lounge where we served with their welcome drinks while enjoying a view of Alona Beach.

Alon Bar Lounge has this cozy vibe with an Instagram-worthy bar counter and colorful furniture to sit on.  The cozy lounge with a view makes all the waiting worthwhile, although we didn’t have to wait long for our room to be ready.

3. Stylish Contemporary Filipino-designed Rooms

The Ivywall Resort has 80 spacious well-appointed rooms that feature a contemporary Filipino design with an array of amenities.

Each room has complimentary wifi, 43 – inch LED TV, mini bar, work desk and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities.

Premiere Room with Direct Pool Access

We stayed at the Premiere Room with direct pool access, known to be the best room category in the resort. Although the room is not that big, it has everything you need whether you’re there for leisure or business travel.

The highlight of the room is its direct access to the pool which makes it very convenient. It’s also near the lobby and just a few steps away from the resort restaurant.

4. Amazing Food at Alon All Day Dining

The Ivywall Panglao is known by a lot of Boholano locals for their great food. The resort has 5 dining outlets — Alon All Day Dining, Alon Bar Lounge, Agos Pool Bar, Teraza View Deck and Room Service.

Alon is an all-day dining restaurant that showcases Tropical Island Cuisine concocted by Chef Sau del Rosario. It is a two-level food and beverage outlet with the Alon Bar Lounge on the upper ground floor with direct access to the pool and the main restaurant on the lower ground which flows directly to the beach.

From breakfast to lunch, snacks and dinner, you’ll never run out of food choices at Alon restaurant.
Never forget to order their bestsellers when you dine there. 🙂

5. Beachfront Dining

Just a few steps from the dining hall is the resort’s beachfront where sunbeds and other dining tables are located. Dining there gives you an uninterrupted view of the beach.

We had one of our breakfasts in their beach cabana and it was so refreshing to see the beach, feel the morning breeze and enjoy the scenery.

6. Direct Access to Alona Beach

One of the best things about The Ivywall Resort is that it has direct access to the famous Alona Beach. It actually has a mini-Boracay vibe where resorts can be accessed either through the main gate or by the beachfront.

7. Teraza View Deck

Another popular part of The Ivywall Resort is the Teraza View Deck which gives an exclusive premiere view of the sea and its beautiful sunsets. It is where stellar cocktails creations and drinks are served, perfect for the golden hour.

It’s so colorful and stylish that it has easily become the most photographed area in the resort. While it was gloomy and rainy during our stay, we still had the chance to enjoy Teraza at night where colorful lights dance up to the sky.

8. Kid-Friendly Facilities

The Ivywall Resort Panglao proves to be a family-friendly resort by having an outdoor swimming pool with kiddie pool. The water is not that deep, too, so kids can enjoy swimming freely all day long.

Just below the pool is their play area with slides, spring bouncers and arcade for kids to enjoy. There’s a cozy lounge in the game area, too, where parents and guardians can stay while looking after the kids. Few steps away is the beach where the whole family can dip their toes in powdery sand and have fun under the sun.

9. Fitness and Business Center

The resort has a fitness gym, too. It’s not that big but it’s complete enough for all the basic workout equipment that you will need on your trip.

One thing that also made The Ivywall Resort stand out is that it has a Business Center where guests can do urgent work-related tasks with utmost convenience. The Business Center has 2 desktop computers with high-speed internet, fax machine and printer.

Left your laptop at home or need a document to print? No need to worry. You can do it in the resort’s Business Center.

10. Function Rooms

Staying for an event? The Ivywall Resort also has beautiful function rooms that you can use. They have the Arco Function Room, which can accommodate around 30 guests; Balicasag Function Room for another 30 guests and Dana Function Room for 30 guests as well.

These three function rooms can be merged into one (Grand Ivywall Hall) to cater bigger events with more guests, up to 110 persons.

11. International Standard Yet Boholano Hospitality

One of the things that make The Ivywall Resort special is it’s international standard hospitality merged with local Boholano warmth. From the welcome greetings, in-room amenities, architecture and interior designs, you can see how the resort showcases Filipino touches in it while abiding with Best Western standards.

The people are very welcoming, making guests feel at home at all times.

12. Exciting Promos

As part of an International Brand, the resort offers rewards and points to members whenever they stay at the resort. They can avail these stay rewards and discounts at all Best Western resorts from all over the globe. How cool is that?

Aside from that, they also have “PROMO of a PROMO” where they give an additional 20% discount to Boholano residents on top of the current promo that they have. That’s so generous, right?

Here are their current promos for your reference:

COVID- 19 Safety Protocols

So far, they have the most complete in-room care kit from face shields, face masks, gloves to alcohols and sanitizers. Their face masks have built-in shields, too, which is very useful as well.

Online pre-check-in was established to lessen face-to-face contact. Alcohol stations are in strategic places and social distancing signs are also there. The staff are wearing their face shields and face masks, too. We felt safe during our entire stay at the resort.
