We stayed 4 days, 3 nights in LRR and stayed in their premier river view with a bathtub and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It has a modern design and a veranda fitted with a tub by of the river.
The premiere rooms also have a pool exclusive for them, which isn’t accessible for deluxe and native room guests. Now that’s luxury! 😉
Internet connection is fast, too, making it easier for us who have remote work.

It Has 2 Relaxing Pools
The number of resorts nearby Loboc River is growing as the years go by but as of now, Loboc River Resort is the only resort with pools. Not only one but two swimming pools where guests can relax after a day tour or paddle boarding by the river.
The first pool is open for everybody – day use, native room guests and premiere room guests while the second pool is exclusive for premiere room guests only.
The Restaurant Serves Great Food with Various Options in the Menu
Their food is soooo good! Plus they have lots of selections, too!
The resort may be quite far to go to but their food can be at par with the ones served in the city or the famous resorts in Panglao. They have Filipino, Western and Asian cuisines. Our favorites are their native chicken and halo-halo. 😍
Venia’s Kitchen Restaurant has a veranda overlooking the river so dining in the resort is already an experience in itself. They also have a function hall which can accommodate 50 to 150 persons in a round table banquet set-up
It Has a Boat For Intimate Lunch Cruise or Romantic Dinner
Want to take your dining experience to a different level? You can go for a lunch cruise to Busay Falls with lunch served on a boat. It’s like doing the usual floating restaurant but in a more intimate setting.

We’ve tried various types of massage both indoor and outdoor and having it by the river is a different kind of experience. The fresh air, the sound of the waters, the views.. just WOW!

How Monkey island came to be is quite a story to tell. Years back, the resort owner saw a monkey under the care of someone and felt sorry for it so he bought the monkey and created an island within their resort property where the monkey can live in its natural habitat.
Loboc River Resort is passionate about giving animals their authentic life in the wild and not in a cage. Now, the numbers of money on Monkey island is growing.
Guests can now enjoy Monkey feeding and exploring their bird sanctuary, too.
It Has an Area For Yoga In Zen Island
Staying in the resort is already a breath of fresh air – a perfect place to unwind. On top of that, the resort has a mini -“Shala” too, where yogis can practice yoga and meditate.
We love yoga so much so when we stayed in Loboc River Resort, we invited our teacher, Ms. Raisa of Yoga Bohol. We had a great acro-yoga practice there and in fact, we’ll be back for a yoga retreat soon. 💕

Surrounding Zen Island is a pond where ducks freely swim around. The resort also raises lots of tilapias for guests to fish.
Fishing is one of the activities that guests can do in the resort. The catch will be weighed per kilo and you can either take it home or have it cooked in the restaurant for you.
It’s a perfect bonding for families and friends! It also doesn’t take too much time compared to usual fishing since the tilapias are already ready for harvest and there’s plenty of them in the pond.
It Has a Trail For Jogging and Biking
Another thing we love about Loboc River Resort is that it has a designated trail for jogging and biking. Guests don’t only get to enjoy the river view and activities, they also get to explore a refreshing trail and break a sweat.
They even have a route for you! 😉 Five to six rounds around the trail and you’re done with your 5km maintenance run to stay fit even while on vacation.
It Offers Firefly Watching
Loboc River Resort is complete with all activities you can ever think of. And that includes firefly watching. While we didn’t have much photos that night, the enchanting beauty of the fireflies is still very vivid in our minds.
The darker the night is, the brighter the lights are. So if you plan to do firefly watching, make sure to bring a reliable camera that can capture the fireflies by night.
