Our 1st Wedding Monthsary at Amorita Resort

One month in the married life, we decided to go for a staycation in Amorita Resort. We’ve been here five times, we’ve tried their weekend dinner buffets, dined at their Spanish-themed Tomar restaurant, enjoyed cocktails by the garden, indulged in their breakfast buffet and had afternoon tea but haven’t really stayed at the resort as in-house guests. We promised ourselves that when we get married, we will definitely stay here because every visit is such a beautiful experience, we can’t afford not to stay for at least a night. So last October, we booked for 3 days and 2 nights stay in Amorita to celebrate our first monthsary as husband and wife. 👩‍❤️‍👨

We were picked up by a van in the city proper and had a smooth 15-20 minute ride to the resort. The driver was very accommodating, took our baggage and guided us to the guest registration area in Azotea. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with their signature Kalachuchi flowers 🌸 worn in Nichelle’s ears, cold towel, watermelon popsicles and lemongrass drinks. As always, the overlooking view of Alona beach is relaxing to the eyes and a perfect backdrop as we waited for our room to be ready. Honestly, we didn’t even felt like we waited. 😉

For our first night, we stayed at their One-Bedroom Seaview Suite. It was so huge for the two of us! In the table, we were greeted with goodies like mangoes, chocolates, a bottle of wine and a note. The room comes with a complimentary mini-bar, coffee machine and a small fridge loaded with juices and cookies. It also has a living area with a daybed plus a balcony that gives you a view of the sea. So beautiful we could just sit there all day! Not to mention the bathtub that’s perfect for an afternoon relaxation. The bedroom view was pretty scenic, too! We woke up early the next day and witnessed the sunrise right at the comfort of our bed.

Every Friday afternoon, Amorita offers complimentary cocktail hour for all in-house guests. Luckily, our first day at the resort was a Friday so we were able to enjoy their signature cocktails during sunset at their scenic infinity pool. While we don’t drink alcohol, except wine, we were so happy we were served with Mojito minus the rhum. One of the best cocktail hour experience ever!

The resort also offers dinner buffets on weekends. So on our first dinner, we indulged in their Friday Roast Buffet. Pork and Beef Steak were a bomb! There were lots of options in their dinner spread as well. We enjoyed the pasta section where you get to choose the ingredients you prefer and they will cook it right in front of you. We’re seafood fanatics so we went for the seafood pasta. Anything seafood actually, lol 😅

After dinner, we headed back to our room, answered a few emails before bedtime while Kristian made coffee for the two of us. Day one, done! 😁

Once a week, every Saturday morning, Amorita offers a morning yoga session. I’ve always wanted to join a yoga class so when Sir Nilo mentioned they have yoga that morning, I didn’t say no. I should say, yoga isn’t easy. But the overlooking view of the beach made it bearable. How can you feel the pain when you have a beautiful view, right? 🙂 Meanwhile, Kristian went to the resort gym and worked out as well.

After our morning workout, we headed to Saffron restaurant right away for breakfast. I think we worked out for breakfast buffet! Haha. I loved that they have everything you would want for breakfast. You can go all out with rice (Filipino thing) or go for congee, cereals, pancakes, bread and fruit. The breakfast view and morning breeze was a plus, too! Since Amorita is  a nature resort, everywhere you look, there’s always greeneries or blue ocean. Sky view was plenty, too.

Our second day at Amorita was a special day for us. It was our first wedding monthsary! We got our things ready and moved to our villa for the next two days. The Seaview Pool Villa was everything we could ever ask for. Perfect for couples and honeymooners. Both the rooms that we got were very clean. Kudos to Sir Nilo and the entire housekeeping team (Paul, Cathy and Bryan) for the well-maintained rooms. Every time we go back to our room after spending a day outside, we always go back to a clean room with newly linens and towels.

We entered the villa and we were pleasantly surprised there are petals scattered on the floor and a greetings on the bed for our wedding monthsary. They also prepared a cake and wine for us to celebrate. How thoughtful is that? They even framed one of our prenup photos and put it in our room. Sir Nilo and his team are the sweetest! 😊

We spent our entire day in our villa, enjoyed the ocean view, took a dip at our exclusive pool and had room service for our lunch. It was a beautiful day to celebrate and we’ve just started.

Later in the afternoon, we went biking around the resort and also tried archery. Amorita provides a lot  of leisure activities for their guests. You can go biking just like what we did, try archery, or go for water activities like paddling, kayaking and snorkeling, just look for Carlo. You can also opt to just go swimming. They have two huge pools – one in Azotea and another one in Saffron. Alona Beach is just a few steps down from the resort so you can enjoy the beach if you want to as well.

After enjoying our afternoon, we went back to our villa to prepare for dinner. Then another surprise happened – they prepared a short video for us! It was a compilation of our photos and they even took their time to scrape through our social media to add throwback photos. It was so sentimental and special! Couldn’t thank Sir Prime enough for the beautiful video.

To make the night even more special, we had a romantic cliffside dinner with a 3-course meal and a personal butler. The food was amazing, the ambiance was very romantic and Sir Hanzel was very efficient. There are two options for romantic dinner – you can have it at the cliffside with an overlooking view of the beach or at one of their Cabanas. If you happen to book a romantic dinner at Amorita, make sure to request for Sir Hanzel

To end the night, we had a massage and milk bath at their Sea Tree Spa. It was one of the best massage experiences that we had! Special thanks to Franze and Margie. The milk bath after a full-body massage was a perfect combo. 😉👌

Our first monthsary at Amorita was definitely one for the books. Honestly, it would be hard to top it off. We couldn’t be more grateful to Sir Nilo Quizon and to everyone who made our stay worthwhile.

The next day, we had our last breakfast buffet and enjoyed a morning dip at the pool before leaving. As a souvenir, they gave us these luggage tags upon checkout. Still not used to seeing our names as Mr. and Mrs. but it was a beautiful keepsake of our wonderful Amorita experience. 🌸

Looking forward to be back in this amazing place soon! 😊👌

Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.
