Happy Welcome
As they say, the first impression lasts and Be Grand Resort Bohol takes that to heart.
We’ve stayed at several resorts in the last couple of years, experiencing different kinds of welcome reception upon arrival. There’s a formal welcome, courteous greeting, warm and thoughtful gesture but at BE, it was quite a different approach (but in a good way).
When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with joyful Hello’s and happy giggles. Surprisingly, we were the first guests since they re-opened so somehow, it was an exciting moment for them as well. To be honest, their cheerful aura overwhelmed us a bit that we were lost for words at the beginning. Haha 😆
Reception was quick, following the safety protocols. After getting our sanitized luggage and keys, we were given the option to either use the golf cart or trishaw as our ride to the villas. We easily noticed how cute the rides are, even designed with Filipino touch. We chose the fun one! 😊
They leveled up the welcome amenities, too, with their welcome drinks and snacks in our villa.
You Have Your Own Villa Host
As of the moment, BE Grand is only re- opening “The Villas” part of the resort. All the other rooms and accommodations are still closed as of this time the article is written. See cheaper room rates here.
We’ve tried the villas of different resorts here in Bohol and we have to say, the personalized service of BE Grand to their villa guests is outstanding. It was the first time we experienced having a villa host for our entire stay at their “Dream Villa”.
Here’s how it works:
Every villa has an assigned villa host who will take care of your needs, like literally 24/7. He or she will look after your itinerary if you wish to do tours around the province. It’s like having a personal assistant on your stay that you communicate to via FB messenger.
In our case, we spent our 4 days as purely staycation. Our friendly villa host, Ma’am Rose, made sure our requests were attended to. Our breakfasts were set up as how we wanted them to be. She served us with cold drinks after our workout, setup the boodle at the beach because we preferred it that way, provided us snacks when we went swimming, arranged our gym and game area use as well as our dinner at Lune Deck.
She made sure we had nightly turndown amenities delivered in our villa. Even surprised us with anniversary balloons and cake! 🥰
When they say they’ll spoil you when you stay at the villas, they really do. We have never felt so pampered the way BE Grand did it. We love the concept so much! Plus, non-villa guests can’t access the villa areas so there’s utmost privacy and luxury.
They Have a Lagoon Pool
First glance at “The Villas” and we already felt like we’re transported to Venice Grand Canal in Italy with the colors and the lagoon pool that surrounds. Swimming in the pool is already a unique experience in itself as it’s like a flowing river as well.
We were privileged to be given a villa that has a beautiful ocean view and also a direct access to the pool on both sides.
Villa guests can enjoy the luxury of enjoying a floating breakfast in the pool or in the villa balcony. How exciting!
The villa’s interior design is contemporary chic with a four-poster king bed, flat screen TV, working desk, fully stocked mini-bar chiller, cutleries, ensuite bathroom with rain shower, bathtub, hair dryer and toiletries.
There’s Infinity Beach You Can Enjoy
While BE Grand doesn’t have white sand beachline, it does have an infinity beach overlooking a marine sanctuary.
Resorts situated in cliffs or rocky parts of the island usually add an infinity pool to offset the lack of a beachline but for BE, they made it an infinity beach instead, with a cove and jetty for water activities.
The resort is perfectly located in a way that one side gives you a beautiful view of sunrise and the other side displays an uninterrupted view of sunset.
There are plenty of day beds on the beachfront, too, with trees for shade, where you can relax for as long as you want. If you are working remotely, this is would be a great workstation to relax your mind as well.
Since booking the villa entitled us one boodle lunch during our stay, we requested for it to be set up by the infinity beach and it was amazing! The food was superb and the view, even when it was gloomy that time, was still relaxing.
Fun Restaurant Themes
Be Grand keeps it grand with 5 dining venues in the resort, each with different concept and each serving different menu.
Food Hall
The Food Hall is where breakfasts are usually served. Guests can choose to dine inside which is air conditioned, dine Al Fresco or if they have already gone for a morning swim, there’s an area outside where they can immerse their feet in the water while having their breakfast.
Villa guests can choose to have floating breakfast in the lagoon pool, in their villa or in the Food Hall if they want to.
Bridge Bar
The Bridge Bar has a swim-up section feature that enables you to get an immersive experience, enjoying a dip at the pool while ordering pizza, pasta and sandwiches. You can also pair it with cocktails, beer, liquor and wine.
Monkey Bar
For grilled foods, light bites, sandwiches and other refreshments, Monkey Bar is the way to go and just chill by the beachfront. There’s plenty of mangrove trees for shade.
Lune Deck
This one is located at the rooftop which offers an amazing view of the sunset. Here, you can get your dose of cocktails while watching the sun set and the sky turn into pink. At night, you get to enjoy a sky full of stars as well. The Lune Deck opens at 5pm and closes at 1am daily.
If you’re planning to get married, you might want to consider the Lune Deck, too, as the rooftop view gives you a romantic ambiance to seal the deal with the one you love.
They have a wine cellar, too, where you can choose for yourself the kind of wine that you prefer.
The Boathouse
The Boathouse is their fine dining restaurant located near the villas. Villa guests have exclusive access to this restaurant while non-villa guests need to reserve seats ahead if they want to dine here.
We dined here on our first night and it was so dreamy. Felt like a romantic night in Venice!
There’s a Dive Pool
Near the Bridge Bar is a training center by the famed diving operator, Scotty’s Action Sports Network. The dive pool offers a realistic dive setting for beginners and learners. Other family members and friends can watch you dive the four-meter deep dive pool through viewing portals around the pool. How cool is that?
Generous Serving and Amenities
We looove their FOOD! Not only are they friendly to our Filipino taste buds, serving is generous, too! We were always full since they fed us with savory food all day long from breakfast, to lunch, snacks, dinner and dessert.

Turndown amenities were level up, too!
Pastry Chef Ednil made sure we taste their best cakes and desserts. So talented and creative!
Complete Facilities
BE Grand made it sure that when you stay at the resort, you will never want to leave.
It is complete with facilities including the massive pool, kid’s pool, kayak and paddle boards for water activities, large gym to stay fit, game room with billiards, board games, KTV and kids’ space both indoor and outdoor. There’s literally plenty of spaces for a photoshoot, too. 😉
They also have a SPA but we weren’t able to try it because of the safety protocols.
Guest Giveaways
So far, they’re the only resort that we’ve gone to that is generous with giveaways. We were given necklaces upon arrival, refillable bottles we can use during our stay, BE Grand coasters and their famous ensaymada upon checkout.
Safety Protocols
When it comes to COVID-19 safety protocols, BE Grand Resort Bohol definitely took it seriously.
The van driver was wearing a mask, face shield and gloves. Our temperatures were checked at the gate. The welcoming committee were all wearing masks and face shields, too.
We were required to fill in a health declaration form through a QR code. Keys and luggage were sanitized. There’s an alcohol dispenser at the villa door, in the dining area, near the elevator and in strategic locations within the resort. There’s a hygiene kit in our villa, too.
No hype but our BE Grand staycation was really a surprise to us. The resort gave us way more than we expected, allowing us to enjoy to the fullest.
If it’s beautiful in photos, it’s even more beautiful when seen with the naked eyes.
The dream villa really lived to its name and the experience was definitely a dream! 💖
